The External Reporting Board (XRB) and the New Zealand Accounting Standards Board (NZASB) will be holding seminars in Auckland and Wellington on the new Accounting Standards Framework as it applies to for-profit entities. The seminars will cover: The new Accounting Standards Framework, with particular emphasis on the for-profit aspects; The tiers, tier criteria and accounting standards for each tier as they will apply to for-profit entities; The "For-profit Package" of four exposure drafts issued by the XRB and the NZASB on 27 April 2012; and The proposed content of the NZ IFRS Reduced Disclosure Regime included in the for-profit package of EDs. The seminars will be held as follows: Auckland Seminar: 8.30am -10am, Thursday 14 June 2012 at the Stamford Plaza Hotel, 22-26 Albert Street, Auckland. Wellington Seminar: 8.30am -10am, Thursday 21 June 2012 at the Intercontinental Hotel, 2 Grey Street, Wellington. The seminars are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. However, pre-registration is required. This can be done online on their website: www.xrb.govt.nz For those unable to attend the seminars, the XRB is also preparing a podcast and planning a webinar on the Accounting Standards Framework and the For-profit Package of EDs. Details will be on the XRB website in the near future. |
